Factors influencing the price of professional translations
General vs. technical translations
If a text is based on general knowledge words, it will be cheaper to translate then a technical or complex text, where specialist knowledge is required.
Format in which the text is provided and number of files
We can handle most file extensions for professional translations from English into Italian and vice versa. However, if a type of file requires extra skills and level of attention to be translated (i.e. HTML code or 
Dreamweaver files) it can be more expensive to translate. Also, if the documents are provided in a lot of separate small files rather than in a big one, it can be more expensive as it takes longer to download, open and save every time a number of individual files. Translation of documents in formats that are not over-writable or in hard copy will cost more, because it will take more time to edit the text to mimic the original layout.
Urgency of the translation
Different rates apply if a translation job is particularly urgent, as it will require prioritising over other pieces of work. If a project needs to be prioritised, this will add up to 50% extra to the fee.
Additional SEO consultancy
When translating websites, we can offer additional SEO and e-marketing advice and services such as submission to directories or social networking websites in the target language, writing articles in the required language and more. For SEO services and advice, prices will be agreed on a case by case basis.
Proofreading
If you require proofreading only, this will be cheaper than translating, but it still depends on the file extension of the document provided and difficulty of the text.
Interpretation
We also offer consecutive interpretation from English into Italian and from Italian into English. The cost ranges between £20 and £30 per hour (depending on the difficulty) on top of travelling costs if needed.
