Interpretation services – Italian to English and English to Italian
Valeria Lo Iacono provides Interpretation services from Italian into English and from English into Italian to private companies and public sector bodies . Whether you need somebody interpreting Italian to English or vice versa at meetings or during a presentation, Valeria will be able to help you. She will also be able to translate documents, handouts and presentations in advance before the meeting. With experience working with Ofsted, Nortel and Cardiff University, Valeria will deliver a professional service as an Italian interpreter.
Type of interpretation provided
Valeria is specialised in face-to-face consecutive interpretation. For consecutive interpretation the interpreter sits or stands next to the speaker and takes notes to make the interpretation more accurate. Once the speaker has finished talking, the interpreter will translate into the target language. Usually, the speaker and the interpreter take 
turns speaking for about 10 or 15 minutes each at a time.
Before the meeting, it will be helpful if you could provide the interpreter with some background information about the company, the products or services it provides. Also, providing drafts of speeches if available and information on any acronyms used or technical language would be useful.
Interpreter’s background
Valeria is a native Italian who has lived in the UK for a few years and knows both cultures well. She can provide interpreting services in the South of England (i.e. London, Bath, Bristol, Southampton, Portsmouth or Bournemouth) and in South Wales including Cardiff and Newport. She can also provide interpretation in Italy, in locations such as Sicily (i.e. Catania or Taormina) and Rome.
